FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT LADY LIBERTY CRUISES

What time does boarding begin?

Boarding time starts 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Visit the Cruise Descriptions and Pricing page to find your cruise’s departure time.

Where do the cruises leave from?

All our cruises board from the Port Washington Town Dock, located at 347 Main St. in Port Washington unless specified. 

What can I bring on board?

Baby strollers, car seats, and baby carriages are NOT allowed on board due to strict safety regulations. You may bring a specialty cake on board for special celebrations. Cameras are allowed on board. We recommend bringing comfortable footwear.

How long are the cruises?

All cruises are 4 hours in duration.

What is the cruise route?

After departing from Port Washington, Lady Liberty Cruises sail toward Long Island Sound and pass by the historic Gold Coast before cruising into New York Harbor to offer guests views of the Brooklyn Bridge, Empire State Building, UN, South Street Seaport, Governors Island, Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty, and Freedom Tower. We then return to Port Washington through the same route. 

Are children allowed on board?

Children 3 years or older can join a voyage on Lady Liberty Cruises. We do not have a children’s rate available, however. 

What do I need to be admitted on board?

You will need your boarding pass or paid receipt to be admitted on board. The boarding pass will be mailed to you. You will also need a valid photo ID if you are 18 or older. 

What payment options are available?

Payment is to be made by company or personal checks.  VISA, MasterCard, Discover Card, and AMEX are accepted 72 hours prior
to event.

Can I make a group reservation?

Lady Liberty Cruises can accommodate groups up to 150. We can book group reservations of 10 or more.

What is included in the pricing?

General gratuities are included in the pricing, as are all taxes. Parking fees at Port Washington are also included. 

Where are the restrooms?

The restrooms are located in our Main Dining Room and on our Upper Deck.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is allowed ONLY on the open portion of the Vessel’s bow.

How long is the bar open?

The bar opens at boarding time and stays open for three hours, closing for the final hour of the cruise. Alcoholic beverages are only available to those 21 or older with a valid ID. 

What kind of entertainment is on board?

We have a DJ to provide music, as well as a patriotic musical salute while we go by the Statue of Liberty. You can dance to our music on our dance floor.

What meal options are available?

Check out our Dinner Menu page to see food choices. Our menus are buffet style. Some vegetarian choices are available, but we do NOT offer Kosher meals. You can bring a Kosher meal on board if you desire. Our food is prepared on board by our professional chef and kitchen staff. 

Is the vessel handicapped accessible?

We can accommodate wheelchairs less than 30 inches wide or collapsible. Our crew will assist you on the ramp. 

What happens if I miss the cruise?

Be aware that our cruises leave on time at the designated departure time. We do NOT have a cancellation policy or offer refunds. We sail rain or shine, though we will remain dockside in severe weather. Call us at (516) 922-9214 in case of severe weather warnings. 

Is there anything else I should know?

We recommend casual but neat dress attire. Comfortable footwear is a must.  Our vessel is Coast Guard approved equipped with life preservers and life-saving equipment. We do not have phones on board, but most cellular services are available on the water as we sail no more than a mile from shore.
